Barefoot brand from United States, founded 2014.
Carets make barefoot dress shoes for the office, mainly men's oxfords, derbies and wingtips, plus a small women's range of flats. The clever bit is a faux heel that is hollow inside, so they look like ordinary dress shoes but are zero drop with a wide toe box. They also make Determination safety boots with a steel toe for work, still with a zero-drop sole.

I'd say these are roomy in the toe area but taper to a dressy point after your toes end, so they suit medium to wide feet rather than extra wide ones. They run long and tall, so I'd size down from your athletic size and keep the heel grips and tongue pads handy.
