Chala is a German brand making handmade barefoot sandals in Freiburg, in the Black Forest, along with a closed shoe called the Único and overshoes. The designs are mostly unisex, many sandals come in two widths, and there are vegan options as well as leather, much of it sourced from regional farms. There is also a kids' sandal for children from about one year old.
