Sambas the Bambas

Barefoot brand from Spain, founded 2019.

Sambas the Bambas designs in Granada and makes plant-based barefoot shoes in Spain, using materials like organic cotton, hemp, cork and coconut-fibre insoles. I'd say it's a good one to look at if you want vegan-friendly, wide, thin-soled shoes in colourful designs. The range covers everyday trainers plus sandals, boots and smarter styles, for adults and kids from size 26.

Specialities: vegan, kids, sandals, boots, casual

How Sambas the Bambas fits

sloped toe box, wide width

The brand describes a roomy last with a wide, anatomical toe box. For sneakers it suggests adding about 1 cm to your foot length. Sandals and ballet flats want a closer fit, and one closed model is reported to fit large, so check each model page.
